I think you already said you don't have a plan, but do you think of doing any insect-mammal hybrids?.. or are mammals more your thang?.. certainly not meant as a crit but the great thing is you have the whole animal kingdom as reference, no end to the combinations you can make
Gooner442 - Insects and crustaceans are my 'safe place' (I am not sure why that is, actually..) So I was steering away from them if I can, but they are definitely not off the menu.

here is the thing for today. i played around with some accent on the head, like a frond or a plume or an antenna, but it wasn't working. Maybe another time!

This stuff is amazing. Reminds me of the sketches I used to do in school.
It's weird how as we get older, we lose that child-like imagination (for the most part) and don't allow ourselves to just go crazy and draw anything. I know some artists do, but I have really limited myself recently. I want to do some stuff like this
