[paid] 2D Artist needed for iOS Game

Since I'm just an indie dev, I didn't think my offer falls in line with the full time jobs posted in the other board. Please move this if I'm wrong.

Anyway, I've been developing an iOS game in my spare time over the past few months. The engine is just about complete, so it's time to start finalizing assets. Most people would say I'm pretty good at art, but I can't come close to matching what a dedicated artist can do. Still, I can offer good direction, and provide sketches of everything I need made. But first, a bit about the game itself:

This is a "runner/action" type game. Sort of like Mario Bros, except you're always moving forward, and you only fight/dodge enemies to survive until the end of the stage. Thematically, it is a parody of Angry Birds, and to a lesser degree, other games. The concept was that everyone was bugging me to make a game with cute characters, and I hate Angry Birds, so I went in the polar opposite of the famous game. Instead of slow trial and error gameplay flinging birds at pigs, you're a pig fighting your way through waves of birds coming at you. After every tenth level, you fight a boss bird. There are lots of little touches I've built into the engine to give it extra style and make it more unique. For example, I can make the game go into bullet time, as well as zoom in and out of the playing field to create more dynamic scenes. When you defeat a boss, instead of simply watching the boss explode, you play a short "posing" minigame where you basically style all over the bird, kind of a strange mix of performing tricks in modern Sonic games and teabagging in Halo.

Although I use the pigs and birds theme to establish familiarity with players, I hope to quickly establish this as the superior game for those who download it.

I don't have the money to hire a full time artist (having a studio would be so nice...), but I can pay for this gig, and want to do so for good work, so this isn't strictly a volunteer project. While I do expect you to adhere to the style I've established for the characters, I am also very open to ideas and design suggestions. I want to find someone as excited as I am, and if you're into fun little things like easter eggs or developer cameos, all the better.

Here are some animation sketches. This is basically the kind of reference material I would be sending.

Oh, also I need names for these guys, so even if you don't wanna join the project, I'm open to suggestions. ^ ^

If you're interested, feel free to respond here, PM me, or send me an email at [my username]@gmail.com. Thanks for looking.
