So i got linked to this and it looks like a pretty great program

I watched a video about how to take your diffuse and from that make spec, ao, and normal. sounds too good to be true.

anyone experience with this?

would it be better to use than xnormal? i'm trying to get the hang of that now.

It doesn't do same stuff as xNormal. xNormal is for baking from high poly to low poly (and other crazy stuff). nDo is to create normal maps in photoshop. You should search polycount for nDo threads. There were quite few recently.
