Hey everyone, I recently graduated with a BFA in media arts and animation. I am a 3D modeler and I wanted to share some of my work. Any and all feedback is much appreciated.
I agree with BARDLER. You seem to understand the principles of modeling, but there's still a lot more you can do with texturing and lighting as well. Also I have to ask, do you know about strip modeling? Your bull piece looks like you box modeled it which is not the wrong way to do it, but when you are doing organic subjects like humans or animals, its usually recommended to use the strip modeling method.
I would like to echo what the others have said, your textures and lighting have a lot of room for improvement.
I'd also like to point out that though you seem to have a pretty good grasp on modeling, there are a couple instance in your portfolio where it becomes inconsistant. The skateboard model you did really jumps out at me because the board itself looks relatively low-poly while the trucks and wheels are a much higher mesh density. It looks like you're half way between creating game ready models and models for product renderings.
I suggest that for future projects you decide before you start modeling if you're going for a high resolution mesh or a game ready mesh and stick to those parameters.
Thanks Sebeuroc for the feedback and for viewing my website. The comments have all been great. I have been meaning to upload the corrected images for the skateboard. It is a low poly model, I will fix that right away. thank you
Yea I probably should have elaborated a bit more on it. I think its also called "edge extrusion modeling" since thats pretty much what you do. Instead of starting with a 3 dimensional box you start with a Plane and extrude the edges out to create more polygons and sculpt it into form.

Heres a video that goes more into it.
