Hey fellas,
I'm currently building a portfolio website, and I need a little advice
I've looked through the Polycount wiki article on portfolios, and I'm doing my best to tailor mine to all the advice found there. But one thing I'm not sure how to do, is images.
I have thumbnails to all my work on the main page. Each thumbnail will link to a small gallery for that environment/prop. Do you think I should just make that gallery as far as it goes, so it would be one large (ish) image in the center (but not full res), with several thumbnails at the side so that the viewer can choose which thumbnail he wants enlarged; or should I have it so you can then click on the large center image, and have it blown up to full resolution?
If I should provide the full resolution version, what is the best way to present it? Only ways I can think of are to have it open on its own in the tab, or to have it in one of those "pop-up" type boxes that overlay over the main page.
Anyway, I'd appreciate any tips you could give me

I personally think one level deep is as far as the navigation should go, with all the beauty and construction shots in one vertical scrolling page. If those are clickable, open them in a new tab with no formatting. Just make sure you watermark your email or web address on the image. That's as seamless as it goes imo.
