Hey guys,
DVD 2 of my Dozer is out, I'm dropping some superhighres screengrabs here to show my work. Untextured, since I'm only gonna be showing the texture when part 3 comes out (shouldn't be too long)
It's 45k polygons, uses one 4096x2048 and a 1024 for the tracks. Baked in Max for future use in UDK as a skeletal mesh, so I had to use "old" methods of splitting UV's and smoothing groups to avoid tangent errors.

looking forward to seeing it textured man
If you don't mind me asking...what do you mean by old methods? I didn't know there was a better way to do this?
Wathing the tutorial, I am learning quite a few tricks, especially in regards to UV'ing, your method is quite simple and effective; even after all these years, baking still manages to be the biggest burden in my work so this helped a lot, cheers man!
My only nitpicking is your presentation, those shots are a bit too dark.
Can't wait to check it out! Good job!
