1. finish atleast 1 piece of personal art!!!
2. stop worrying
3. get a mortgage and fancy house
4. exercise more
5. learn more on the character design/balancing front
6. hone up the 2d side
I'll keep it simple for 2012 and keep my resolutions to 3:
1) Get back into shape. I used to be build like a brick (from high school) and have really sunken into shitty eating habits.
2) Build a single level game. Nothing complicated, but seeing Chris Holden build his work makes me long for the days of modding games. Nothing complicated, but a single level fps with all my own art assets would definitely help fill in the blanks of game production that go beyond building assets and textures.
3) Buy a bike. I cut the cord on cable TV and i'm hoping i can do the same for most of the use of my car. It would definitely help with that first resolution too.
Work on my time management
Be less stubborn about stuff.
Leave comfort zone whenever it seems useful
Exercise more often.
Get a job, not related to the industry.
Work each day on my portfolio. In some way or another.
Just, be productive and become a better person, really.
- drop 50 lbs (90 is my goal weight loss. but 50 is a good number in a year)
- create a better website and demo reel
- get a better job
- pay off my credit card
- Turn off computer more often. And draw on paper more times. It's very refreshing;
- Get more freelance jobs;
- Enter definitely on video games industry;
- Stop being a dick;
- Waste less time in social networks and other bullshits;
- Earn more money;
- Clean the house more often;
- Stay in touch with my friends more closely.
Last year my resolution was to focus on my art more- which i failed miserably at. Completed nothing personal besides a few speed sketches. This year I've got the A.R.M. strategy -
- Avoid death -
- Revel in shenanigans -
- Make something I'm proud of -
1) Start doing more game art in my spare time.
2) Post more WIP's of said game art on Polycount and generaly post more and be involved with the community in general.
3) Learn more Maxscript and try to pick up something like Python to automate things more.
4) Now that I'm living in another country, take the opportunity to go see more of it.
OK, my girlfriend pointed out that I seem to have more fun when I'm drawing, so drawing more is part of my resolution. I'm going to keep a sketchbook at work.
Make more time for personal art. I love my role here at Vigil working on two projects, but I can't wait for Darksiders 2 to ship so that I can reclaim a little time for myself.
I also want to update and simplify my portfolio. It hasn't been updated since 2007 just because it's a pain in the ass to do (that's why I started a CGHub page). I'm just going to wipe it clean and post all new art.
I'm in the same as most of you guys. Do more personal art and draw more! Last night I stumbled upon several scanned sketchbook images from college...each page was filled with drawings.
After graduation and getting a job, I haven't filled a sketchbook in months. Though my job desk is littered with rough drawings.

Oh, please. There is almost five years I'm checking for your updates... the F5 key already poped out of my keyboard.
Definitely start drawing more, play games more often, get better at playing bass, get a job in the industry... and last but not least, go fishing more!
1. Gain 15 pounds. (I'm a skinny Dude and lose weight just thinking about it. Set a goal to gain 10 last year and made it.)
2. Fill out two large sketchbooks.
3. Finish the first chapter of a game project I've been kicking around.
1. Go to Italy in May
2. Work on a personal environment art piece
3. Keep partying/going out with friends and enjoy life instead of just sitting at a computer
1. Start drawing environment ideas to help me flesh ideas out
2. Work on texturing
3. Get my own portfolio website
4. Push my modeling
5. Don't give up on projects, just because of lack of response.
6. Rehab the gimp knee so I can be more active and enjoy life with the wife
7. Don't forget to stop and look around at life once in a while.
1. Eat pork and beef only once a month
2. Make a lot of progress on my side (2 year) art project
3. stuff
Previous resolutions for me that I actually stuck with:
1. full day each week without any meat
2. Not be persuaded into a decision by guilt, but off of what I decide is best for the situation

One and the same :P
Exactly what I was planning this year...Ah shit does that count as me divulging a goal?
Thus far, this headache has kept me from fulfilling that resolution.
2. Better texture skills.
Two main factors for me =D
1. Get a job in the game industry
2. Workout more
3. Cuss less than an angry pirate but more than a church lady.
Just a couple work related:
1. Get into freelance modeling for tv/film.
2. Move to another country and work, or las angeles.
2. Visit more art galleries / art events.
3. Get back down to my scientifically determined ideal weight (for science!)
These are all achievable, just gotta make sacrifices when necessary.
I also want to update and simplify my portfolio. It hasn't been updated since 2007 just because it's a pain in the ass to do (that's why I started a CGHub page). I'm just going to wipe it clean and post all new art.
