I have a model of a brain which, as you can see in the picture, has a lot of interpenetrating polys. Is there a quick way to fix this? Or do I have to go in and manually smooth every section?
Not sure how if there's a simple way to do it in Maya, but if you have Zbrush you could whip something up quite fast with dynamesh and some reprojection probably.
I never really found a simple way to delete occluded polygons in Maya...
I don't know if this would work...what if you made a low poly for it, and baked in a displacement map from the high, then applied it to your low in maya and converted the low to the displaced?
