That's a very cool character. Really well done on the normalmapping/lowpoly too. My only critique is that the head has gotten lost among all of those tech parts surrounding it. I would either suggest making it bigger or using a different color so you can tell the head apart from the rest.
Nice work though!
I'm not a fan of Japanese mecha but this turned out really well. I particularly like your material definition - I think you nailed a nice painted metallic quality for the armor. Apart from some areas you transcended the game art aesthetic nicely.
I am a Gundam fan and I approve of this! You got all the nice chunky shapes of the model in there, nice job! This is probably the best Gundam model I've seen in a while Also wanted to compliment the material definition on it...it's realistic looking but it fits well with the anime-mech style.
Model and rendering (Marmoset) is amazing. The textures could use a bit of work, as you'd want some discoloration or smears of black or dirt where the paint is peeling. To have paint peel without any other indication of wear makes it look odd.
The post you're using in Marmoset is also nuking out your already desaturated colors, making it feel kind of plastic-y.

Looks nice!
oh I see, do you mean create some rust around the scratched areas like this?
Great work. Beyond what's been stated before, there is one minor touch I would add. It might not get noticed once the guns are in. However, from the renders the texture detail on the hands is either washed out or needs more definition. Adding more worn edges and some battle scars would really be the icing on the cake. (imho) Still, great piece all around. Hats off to you.
Best mech I seen in a long time. Lot going on but not too crowded that I can't tell whats going on. The arms do get lost just a tad. Other then that I applaud your tenacity!

yep, your right..the hands only had flat color with nothing except ao/cavity map, thanks for reminding me! Forgot all about them till now... :poly136:
Nice work man, looks epic! Have you used some motion or depth blur in this? Alot of the details don't look as sharp as in the previous image. Getting that feeling of motion can be tricky with a space/high-sky background.
My 2 cents :
I really think you should keep the first white overburned background.
I'm not too sure why, but the model just stood out a hell lot more in those shots than in the last darker screens you posted.
Not too sure, but everything "popped" a lot more for me.
Hope this helps somehow in your decision on the background.
I like the first render too! The model just dissapears with darker BG.. And the silhouette is better on the first render! BTW loved the textures and the model, amazing work.

Anyhow, simply amazing work on this little fella.
Inspiration folder !
Perhaps try a space background with a strong rim light to set apart?
Also... this turned out incredible! Great work man. Can you outline the detailing process with some of the more complicated/curved pieces of the mech? I feel like the gun was relatively simple compared to other parts of the model. Would be great to know how u got all those tiny details on the upper chest and wings.

can't wait to see the finished product!
Awesome work!
