I am working on a class project, Spartans of Sports! :poly136:
I will gladly appreciate your help. In fact I will need it to get the most out of real-time rendering practices. I will be going through Design, Modeling, Unwrapping, Sculpting and Texturing 3 characters for this project.
I know there's more I can do with my maps, but I would also like tips on the design and sculpting.
Immediate critique: Use the image attachment tool or host the images on a place like imgur or something where you can attach them and immediately embed them into the thread.
Actual critique:
Football guy's shoulderpads right now either need more reference, or basically need to increase the "awesome" level by about 137%... right now they feel dinky and the idea of a shoulder pad, but no actual "shoulder pad" i know of? Most of the design and silhouette is going to come from giving the football guy some killer pads.
As far as the softball girl... I think she'd be cool and iconic with a huge bat.... like maybe the bat is extremely long, or extremely wide, but what I think you're going for here is something intimidating, so again, blow these types of things out of proportion. Nothing screams warrior more than "having a big stick".......... giggity.
I will surely post my progress with images, (Picasa wasn't cutting it).
The football guy will need to be a later revisit, maybe a reversioning. I appreciate your sighting the design elements in both of these characters, I forget how much they need to be pushed, for clarity as well as intimation.

Let me know what you think. I may post the Maya renders over the weekend.
-my mesh separated on all of the edge-loops when last imported, so if you have EVER seen that before, let me know.
Here are some updates on the sculpting:
