Me and Itsmario decided to have a friendly competition on who could make the most deathlyiest knightiest death knight. He's doing the male and I'm doing the female version of the concept.
-Edited with finals.-
Male concept
vs.
Female concept
Thanks to Glenn Rane for the concepts!

cant wait to see the models
ps. I am watching like Big Brother.
I just started sculpting a similar concept, but the head is more "undead"/"skullish."
awesome^^
Also the underneath shoulders, i think they should be larger.
Good luck for the friendly contest
I agree with motenai try to exaggerate some of the proportions to make the stylistic design more appealing
At this point u should have a sculpted outside of the mantle...the only thing left to do is to keep visible only the sculpted polygroup and Delete the hidden parts with the DelHidden function...for a game mantle anyway u will need only one side of the mantle, and to the other with a double side material....otherwise if u need a mantle with thickness just re-extract the sculpted polygroup and u should be fine
Itismario - you've got a lot done so far man, but I would go back in on the cloth and try to define the wrinkles and folds a bit. all the cloth is looking kind of squishy
You make the rockin' world go round!
lovely quote ;D
Lroy, how did you do those wrist straps?
Frell : spacemonkey helped me out with his method. I made them in maya using nurbs (basically make two circles then loft them and convert to polys). Set it all up and bring it into maya to do a bit of fraying. His is much more effective though I suggest you take a peak at his thread.
Got a bit further. Still need to add the third skirt layer, foot cover, cape, and hair.
And wow that looks great! Shoulder pads look like pillows though
Here's a closer shot.
been checking the wips on skype. but there both looking sick. can tell its gonna be a fight to the death on this one :P
Mario I might watch out lest you catch some backfaces on the bake of that cloak. look like you've got just a tad bit of interpenetration.
Also the folds in his lower cloth are a little random...i think u should look at some references, then block in the main folds and then detail the rest
Things on my to do list still the third layer of the shirt and revisiting all the cloth. I've tried following hazardous' advice from this thread (http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=87907). So a big thanks to him.
If anything stands out to you guys please let me know and I'll address it the best I can.
this is like watching AvP, whoever wins. we loose.
I love the stylized face, the eyes in particular are awesome.
I feel myself wanting a bit more of that upper lip overlapping effect.
over-the-top picture to help my point:
Tenchi : I dunno about the sword. I've never really done a weapon before. I suppose for this its pretty necessary though.
