@conte - creation process is pretty straightforward - i used pepakura to unfold the model and create a paper template, printed it out on a large scale printer (36in x 36 in), cut it out from cardboard (i used a 2-ply museum board), and use a glue gun to glue it all together. then i gave it a coat of resin so it's a little more weather resistant. took a little while since it's so big, but it was really fun!
i have a lot of ideas in mind, so will definitely update this thread as i go. thanks for the interest guys!
The scene settings are very cool, making it almost believable "aw poor pigeons" hehe
Mixing wild nature/urban, real/virtual...
Poetic and deffo a lot of potential !
I think you could do some sweet shots utilizing the shadow. Like in that first picture I saw the shadow of the person, I think, in the background and immediately thought that seeing the show of this thing would be sweet.
Maybe also a layer of white spray paint just do even everything out. Or if you had others you could make like a wolf pack that are different greyscale colors. That would be BADASS!
Anyway I think this is amazing none the less. Good Job sir!
This is so cool. Great mix of art and fun. I'd love to come across that in the street and get baffled. You could put one on a beach, seems lego men end up on the beach and the news a lot these years.
I love the dog and wolf shot.
Just an idea too, would be to do a video of the high street one, in fast motion with the wolf still. Seeing all the interest it gets.
New piece! This is my friend. He's patiently waiting for the weather to get better. I plan to do a couple more folks standing around and will create a scene with all of them. The idea is to recreate a b-boy cypher using these guys along with a dance project I got cooking in the lab. I'll try to get video together once it's all complete - in the meantime, let's just consider this one a work-in-progress. Yee!
I didn't realize til after he was made, but his proportions are all over the place. He's got the body of a basketball player, and the head of a 6 year old. Please don't judge him, he's sensitive.

great stuff! you should definitely do more. I'd also like to see peoples reactions.
dan! - no, no plans on painting it, i kind of wanted it to be 'other-worldly' and non-specific, so i think i'll keep it all white for now.

And thanks for explaining the technical side!
@harford - those are some great ideas. I do plan to do video, but I never thought to do it in fast motion, that'd be cool!
@psychaoz - yeah possibly, i'm transitioning into people now, but i'm diggin the animals.
@talbot - good idea, thx.
@everybody else - thanks for the support, it means a lot!

Shark attack! As seen on the streets of San Francisco, April 2012.
People seemed to like it.
But the kids liked it best.
This lady walked up in Union Square and started taking pictures. So I started taking pictures of her taking pictures.
Turns out she works with my Mom, who works nearby, and randomly showed her a picture on her phone.
This is the picture:
It's probably the best picture I have of the shark so far.....
THANKS FOR LOOKING
