so im looking for a quick way to model out ruined or destroyed pieces of architecture, for example say i want to make a before and after version of the roman colosseum, ive already modeled out the before structure, is there any way to quickly snip out a large section, leaving an area that appears noisy? Ive tried using boolean but it doesnt seem to give me the right effect. Any ideas or suggestions?

Depending on if It's a high poly or not
therefore, i dont think that there really is one quick way to model that. the only thing you can do to reduce the time needed would be not to model too much detail for each element and to only model the basic forms and characteristics...
