I was inspired by
Brice Vandermoorteles Normal Map Reprojection Shader and wanted to extend the idea to new uses. This is a novel way of texturing using lit sphere images and cubemaps. You can also reproject color and normal textures to a new UV Set.

Here is a video describing its use:

A couple guys at the office have been using this to good effect, if anyone has suggestions or feedback I'm happy to have it.
As a CGFX shader, only Nvidia cards will load this reliably, but Ive added a arbfp1 technique that might work on AMD and older cards. Cubemaps are lower quality and dont have any blurring using this mode.

BTW, I noticed the retopo tool you made. Looks really handy, and I'll definitely be trying it out soon.
definitely gonna have to give this workflow a whirl, thanks!
