My question is pretty straightforward. Is there a "shell modifier" in XSI and Maya like in 3DS Max? I am just watching the Alec Moody video on making the brief case, and he uses this to add thickness to an empty shell. I am curious about how to do this in XSI/Maya, because I never knew something like this existed.

*edit* it's this one
It is extrude "thickness" parameter, if you don't delete history then you can always adjust it as its a node like Maxs stack.
Try both to see which one works best for you.
rebb: I saw they just added a 'thickness' tool in the new SAP from XSI, so I will be giving that a go. Cheers.
