Turned out really good. The only thing that doesn't sit that well with me... are those "blocky" folds on the clothes. In some areas they are really "blocky". But that's just me. Other than that I really like the textures and the detail you put on things. Like the leather detail on the jacket and shoes. Good touch!
Wow, thank you everyone! Coming from Polycount... means a lot.
Apologies for the outage, Ill try to get my websites bandwidth increased asap.
Autocon - Thank you for the crit, his trousers could be more worn. I did try both extremes... I had a very heated discussion with myself over it
beancube - I couldn't agree more, Id love! a great Indy game. When I started this character I was imagining Indy as if he'd stepped out of a current popular action adventure game So I think that void has defiantly been filled.
zoombapup - Thank you
Ravanna - I'm not the Gunslinger artist, that piece was defiantly an inspiration for me as I modeled him. Mikes a great guy and his work is fabulous!
Jessica Dinh - Thank you I love my Chief costume... currently working on an Assault Rifle to go with it.
Ive learnt so much from this character, I cant wait to take that and start something new. Ill post some more wires at the weekend if people would like to see them.
Awesome work dude, you've really nailed all the clothing, it's just so flowing and dynamic. My only humble crit is that I like pistols with more wear and scratching. Minor detail, this rocks more than the Kupier belt.
Hye man, very cool, this is one i'd like to put on the examples page!
I'm wondering why you are not using 2.0 though? Anything broken for you I should try to fix ?
Xoliul - Absolutely, your very welcome to use it on your examples page. That's fantastic!
I'm using 1.6 because, I started with 1.6 I have tried installing 2.0 but when I drag it onto the max viewport to install, I get an error 'Error - can not install' I cant remember off the top of my head exactly what it says but it doesn't give anymore information than that. We have been using 2.0 at work during lunch times, unfortunately it does seem to error. Reloading your your max scene, objects appear completely black with the following max script errors:
-- unknown Property: "bClip" in .... Xoliushader.ms
-- unknown Property: "bUseDiffseMap" in .... Xoliushader.ms
-- unknown Property: "gamma" in .... Xoliushader.ms
It does occasionally crash max as well. We are using Max 2011 SP2. 1.6 has been flawless for me. Id love to get 2.0 working! its a fantastic shader and I love using it. A personal thank you too you, its brilliant something that benefits so many artists is free.

The "can not install" is something I can't fix, all you need to do is run Max as admin, and then open the MZP with Script > Run Script.
The errors on reload suggest that the actual FX file is gone (latest version actually warns you about this), but I don't really see why this would happen on reloading and not from the start.
Anyway, do report these things with screenshots to us, especially if it's a real crash!
Hey Xoliul. Good thought about installation, ill give that a try. Ill also check regarding the FX file. I was so focused on getting this model finished and as I was having such great results in 1.6... the minor issues with 2.0, I decided to save off swapping to your latest version until I was finished. I defiantly want to get it working now!
My only crit would actually be that the leather jacket is lacking some material definition. It doesn't read as leather 110%. An i think that the pants need some fabric details to. I read it as kinda blurry.
It looks nice but somehow his face doesn't look like Harrison Ford's. I think it might be the eyes that are a bit too crooked. Try rotating them from each other(and maybe making the pupils smaller).
fantastic! great sculpt, great paint job and fantastic presentation. I really enjoy the attention to detail you've put in the way you are doing the leather jacket

Not sure if you're looking for feedback, but the bottom handle part of that gun seems a bit too harsh on it's edge (thinking about how it would feel like to hold the gun) -- frankly, this is me just being nit picky, because overall it truly is awesome.
Truly stunning work, you've really caught Indie's likeness. The texturing details and the work on your sculpt are great, really like the creasing wear you've sculpted into the leather shoes. Keep up the good work!
Thanks for the crits and I always appreciate feedback. Ive always found real time hair in the max viewport a challenge. I find there is always room for improvement.
conte - thank you, Chief was brilliant fun to make! Even better to troop in. My wife and I are currently finishing off an Assault Rifle
Really appreciate the comments regarding the jacket. Defiantly one of the most enjoyable parts to make. Getting that depth of colour was a great challenge.
Looking at my website the other day I realised I had missed out one of my shots. One showing the full figure shaded, flat painted diffuse and wire. Ive updated my first post to include it... cant believe I forgot it!
Soon we will have a hoard of human-like bots to critique all our work. If it wasn't for that cancer-free link and perhaps the teeny girl avatar I wouldn't have picked up on the bot.
Not to offend teeny girls who have stories about their dogs cancer in their polycount signature :P

Only needs some snakes now.
Now have a rest! You deserve it!
Jon's website has crashes because of too much traffic .. so he is tying to post the images somewhere less crappy.
He says sorry ... and Doh!

I agree with this as well
Side burns look a little strange
