Thanks guys! I appreciate the kind words alloa: you have a nice portfolio. I really like your sculpts and textures as well. The normals on your stones are crazy Cheers!
Awesome model, love the textures and sculpt! You also did a great job on capturing the concept art, only crit I can find is that the color on the concept art a tiny bit more saturated. Other than that it's perfect, really love this style of sculpting/texturing.
Good luck with the internship test! (Could have been used to apply for a job if you ask me.)
super rad! I like the style you got going on there. only crits are that the plates on the back of the tail look a bit machined, like leather straps on top of his tail and some of the textures look a tad blurry for the scales. besides that though it's one of the best i've seen for these tests. kudos.
Thanks for the compliments and feedback guys I used one alpha for some of the small scale detail. Otherwise I used mostly h polish with a square alpha. I like how that brush builds up while holding alt.
I worked on a dark monitor and some of the contrast problems came from that. Otherwise I can tweak it slightly for my own portfolio.
For the diffuse I used a spec from crazy bump as a base and painted over it. There are no photo textures. I will post my textures tomorrow.
As for the internship, I am crossing my fingers for more. I have been an environment intern for a year at ANET already. Moving to the creature team would be a nice change.
I wish everyone who has turned in projects the best of luck. It is a great opportunity to grow. These tests are great portfolio builders. I know this will make a nice addition to mine and hope to have more pieces like this

Good work, Jacob. I'll buy you some KFC for your efforts. Maybe YOU get sick this time.

Also Joe, I could eat me some fried chacken
I have my diffuse, normal, spec and gloss map. The gloss map is in the alpha of the spec.
