i have a question. I know there are premade templates of hexagon shapes for grill types and also metal sheets with patterns like this picture you have presented with the spawn station but I can't seem to find where they are because I don't know the right word to call it to look it up. If you used one for your floor here can you please let me know where to find? Thanks.
And btw your spawn is looking great, this will cast great normals.

Looking good, dude. Looking forward to seeing a different texture pallet on this compared to the one they did in the game.

Yeah those tread plate pieces would be easy to model and reuse. You could also make an alpha of one and just use it in zbrush or do a height to normal via Photoshop or xnormal or whatever else.

Awesome model, you have really nailed the concept here. Look forward to seeing it finished, the top part looks like a giant futuristic metal mushroom because of tghe small vent things haha

good to see people are actually giving soft edges for their normal bakes. This is very much industry standard by all means today. Looking forward to the texture.

My only gripe is the metal plate it's resting on. I'd like to see more plating and hard edge sci fi stuff like whats on your spawn thingy. The diamond plate doesn't feel like it goes well with the prop. Could just be me though
