yeah that thing is sticking out and is supose to be dry sand (both patch) hes gonna in the sand in the final . i wasnt conviced about the result either heres another angle (and little touch up) maybe it reads better like this. if no ill just redo it
ok so ive put some more colors. still have alot to do. the high poly scupt is mainly done. just saw on the render that those skull need some polish.
and ill redo the whole gloves with the new noisemake from 4r2 like i did for the net on the back pack.
for now most of the garments still need the smaller texture ( especialy the jeans) that ill add in PS after the bake.

The blood stains are looking really good, the variation of colour depending on the surface looks about right (bright on whitish jeans, dark patches on weathered metal, etc). I don't know if its just the lighting, but in the front render the guy's right shin is looking weird, like its flat and blurred.
What might look cool is if you create some dry looking skin on the foot (especially in petruding areas), thinking about how skin reacts in the sun with no circulation. Apart from the blood marks, the skin looks a bit too clean and well managed, not what you'd expect from someone living in a post-apocalyptic environment.
Wow freddy coming along so awesome I loveee the backpack really really well done, My only crit's would be for the foot in the bag it needs to be more dead looking more discolored, for the boot's maybe change the color of the laces a bit to help with the contrast on them because right now all the brown on the boot's is sort of blending together and looking muddy and maybe as the guy said above for the overall skin color of the chrarceter maybe make him a bit more dirty and dead looking right now his skin color makes him look very alive when i think the look your going for is a more creepy/deadish sort of look. Other then that man amazing stuff keep it up oh and Pleeeeassse repose him!

ok so i finally finished this heres my final render and will post turntable soon.
the character is about 15k and the render is in marmo set with background added in PS C&C would be apprecieted.
Nice one, looks good! I'm liking the motion blur you've added, although its making that big rock difficult to read, but as its part of the background I guess it doesnt matter too much.
Looks AWESOME I am not a big fan of the spikes on the hood though, the arms spikes are cool, but the head seems over the top, other than that its... amazing
ok i said it was the last post but i was lying! i had some crits from friends and changed a couple of stuf. presentation, pose , fix a couple of thing in the maps.
also, skulls look quite mask-like.
the area around jaws seems unfinished, teeth and jaws seem blurry and not really defined.
eye sockets are too flat and seem to have an almost solid color on them, in real life you would see some light on the bottom of eye sockets.
other than that i really like the way this guy looks.

And do you guys have a good tut or any good advices for the spec/gloss map for the eyes? i cant mange to get the result i would like.
also its really funny that you talk about the tooth necklace because it tought about the exect same thing but then i was afraid that it could become too noisy cuz he had already those 2 straps end laces hanging in the front. but now that i see it almost finish maybe it could fit well and help fight that flatness a bit with the white contrast.
ill check if i can find any space in my map for it
and for the skull your the second person who tell me that so i guess i have to rewrk them! i didnt give them the love they deserved
