Greetings everyone! I'm posting up a work in progress of my Steyr TMP. Currently I have the high and I've done the low twice. I'm having gradient issues on my normals and I can't figure out why. I've made the gun in 3ds Max and added a smooth modifier on the high. I also did set some smoothing groups on the low. Can someone point me in the right direction?
Top left: High rendered
Top right: High (turbosmooth)
Bottom: Low

Just happened to me , that i paid close attention to the smoothing of hipoly , and missed some important sharp edges on the lowpoly affecting the baked map.
The gradients in the square-ring in top right of map could come from bad smoothing of the lowpoly ..
Your best bet is to do what EarthQuake suggested.
Great looking gun by the way.
I modelled this a while back; some quite complicated modelling involved with it isn't there Best of luck.
