Nice to see you post new stuff, Faf! This is a pleasure for my eyes.
Going to blizzard too?:)
Really curious how you'll balance out the color on this one. Keep it up!
This looks fantastic. The model is well thought out, the bake is perfect, your texture so far is shaping up really well, and that sculpt is one of the best ones i've ever seen.
With that said, I think you could use some color variation on the dragon's wings, maybe some purples and blues. Id like to see some blood on those wraps, too. The wheels are very clean for something that looks like it would be dragged through a spooky swamp . just some general grunging up would push this sucker over the edge you are already leaning way off of!
but actually in game the twilight hammer had a really nice color scheme, made mostly of purplish greys, bright magentas highlights and a blue-purplish overall tint...
maybe you could try to get the color closer to the original just to see if it looks any better...

I agree with conte about the wings/bones, more yellow/white for the bones, and as Fnitrox said some purpish gradients would be cool also. I think the wood is looking good right now, but maybe darker and with a little bit more blu. Same for the wheels, darker and a bit more dirty. reduce the black gradients in the wood, starting from the grip. Anyway, I like the direction you took, simple gradients, clean texuring, no crazy grunges everywhere, very darksiderish in the process which is perfect for this style imo.
Can't wait to see you're beauty shot, with the little yellow candle! Will be an awesome piece to your folio
Happy to see you retaking your pen!
You increased your skill on this assets!
I agree with crit of "Conte", about the materials definition.
But it's already a very nice job.
FAF: I love this piece that you chose to create. I think the sculpt and low turned out great. It would take me some time to even recreate what you have done here and I doubt I could reach the quality level that you have presented.
That being said I have a few crits that I noticed that some might disagree with but I will spit them out for you and hopefully they help you on the next piece you take on.
I noticed that from sculpt to ao bakes the maps where generally really strong and bold and showed a more sharper look for the piece. When it got to the diffuse stage I feel that feel got a bit washed out.
I noticed that you wanted to try and have the inner tarp be a unique piece and add special details to that section. They really didn't add much to the total package so you probably should have just shared the UV space with the outer tarp and up resed the UV island.
This goes the same for a few of the wood chunks and bonish looking pieces. I think alot of these pieces could have benefited from more sharing of Islands and larger Island chunks.
Granted your piece does not show harsh seams as it would appear from a glance at your diffuse texture. I would work on when painting rather then harsh transitions in the diffuse map maybe more bleed space and smoother painted transitions between UV Islands.
Take what I have said with a grain of salt I am no expert on pieces like this I am just spouting things I noticed.
Masterpiece for you're folio faf ^^. You really improved your zbrush skills and texturing skill on this one .
Since it's a folio piece it's all good, but you know i agree with Ryan about the UV space :P
Turned out great. I'd maybe play with the background. It's silly but you're using the same dark red as the wings. Try using a cooler green or a blue maybe.
Love the work though. Be great to see some more breakdowns of this. Especially on the ZBrush side.

This is a new update
Keep this up and I'm sure you'll be receiving a call from a certain somebody in Irvine... usually the way with these threads on PC
really nice job faaaaaaaaf! :P
ps: nice new matcap! ^^
I changed again the sculpt of my wings and I baked the whole mesh.
I also started a first color map test on the wings.

Be nice to balance the warm wing things with some cools in the wood.
Care to share how you did the wings?
Here is the final sculpt. I used dynamesh to merge the flesh with bones and I used claytube and flatten brushes.
@ D1ver : No, I just came with my boyfriend and thanks !
Very very nice result so far! I'm digging the colors!

Well thought out and executed! No crits from me other than the ones already mentioned
