Character Importing from Maya to UDK

Hey all, I wanted to ask are there any good resources online for importing a character to UDK with a walk animation, then being able to preview this in game? I've been looking on the net for something like that for ages but can't find anything that good. Also, when I try to import a character into the engine as a .fbx from Maya go to preview it, it looks like its been rotating 90 degress in a direction, never like I exported it standing straight up.

Any info would be great, thanks!!
