Nostalgia can be a cruel mistress, but also a sweet lover if you're lucky (can ignore the dated graphics). I've recently installed Dungeon Keeper 2 again and man it's so great. Loving it to bits. Been thinking about Theme Hospital aswell. In fact... off i go!
What old games have you guys been playing recently? Or what game would you like to play again if you had to choose one? This is basically an evil thread that will make you reinstall your old games and give them some love and attention once more.

I guess its hindsight is a little rose tinted because i remember Goldeneye was badass, but now i cant get over how bad the collision is :P
On a positive note, last year I hooked up my old C64 and played a few dizzy games, which were awesome
I guess the oldest games i play now are 06-07 ish.
Freespace 2.
seeing those goblins dance was one of the most unforgettable gaming moments in my life
Speaking of which 'From dust' looks a shit ton like it. Pre-orderedjust for that reason.
yeah!those ones rocks.I still floating in the space in the freelancer.
Also I'm still an avid UT99 and UT2004 player. And Tactical-ops,anyone know that?.Sometimes i play Simcity4,fking genious game,no ever sequels could beat its superiority.
UNREAL TOURNAMENT MOTHAFUCKAS. Bitches dont know. Had it installed on every computer I've ever owned. Only the original though, hate the other ones.

In the retro PC area there's this (i may be biased as i'm involved with hunting some rarities for the archive (which is strictly legal, which is why it's unpopular because kids want warez)). You can even play some of em on TEH WEB!
Don't forget Good Old Games.
Also re-installed Blade Runner. Had to do some work to re-make the install file but so awesome.
Speaking of Unreal Tournament, I beat it earlier this year again. It was a blast just like back in '99 when I used to spend months playing it on my Pentium II!
If I had enough time, I'd definitely replay the following titles:
MDK
Carmageddon 1
Tomb Raider 2
Dungeon Keeper 2
Quake II
Medal Of Honor: Allied Assault
Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Outcast
KOTOR
Resident Evil Remake
Morrowind
Postal 2
Jetpac
Commander Keen: Keen Dreams
Monkey Island III (via ScummVM)
Lands of Lore (via ScummVM)
Planescape Torment
Sierra Quest/LSL Games
Baldur's Gate
Deus Ex
Wizardy games
System Shock 1 and 2
Need For Speed 2
A lot of old games that I like. List could go on :P
Curse of monkey island was probably my most favourite game in the series

"swiv" comes to mind, but you say it wasn't side scrolling?
I remember MDK, that was a good title. I didn't have a PC powerful enough to play it though.
Treasure Island Dizzy and Leander for the win. Sadly Leander doesn't emulate properly on UAE. Cannon Fodder was awesome too.
I have to admit, I also spent a lot of time playing Desert Storm. Probably the only perfect helichopper game ever made.
I was lucky enough to find it pretty cheap($25) and has not left my snes all week.

Carmageddon 1&2

Legacy of kain: blood omen
Soul reaver 1&2
All the oddworld titles
Speedball 2
Tomb raider 1
Games I wish i still had
Blam machinehead
Swiv3D
Destruction derby 2
Redneck rampage
I usually just watch play-throughs of different games on youtube whenever I feel nostalgic and all that. I don't have to play them(yeah, I 'm lazy) and I can just skip to the good parts. I watched some street fighter II - the world warrior yesterday and before that it was Axelay. Good stuff.
i was listening to a few game soundtracks and stumbled upon this one, flooding back nostalgia.

Also, Baldur's Gate II, even after all these years it's still the best CRPG I've ever played... although Might and Magic 6 comes close

Got the whole set for something like £5 in the Steam sale a couple months ago.
x-com
speed ball 2
deus ex
flashback
chaos engine
shadowrun (snes/megadrive)
syndicate
homeworld
All games i wish i could play but cant because i have turned into a graphics snob
I still play it allot.
Emulation wise:
Chrono Trigger & Sieken Densetsu are great games, actually id go so far as to say they're my favourite squaresoft games. I miss the time when the characters weren't all angsty and androgynous
I used to like Pupoluos, but Dongeun Kapper won me over.
Peter Mylonuex used to be a genius
I had a look for Syndicate but the versions I found weren't compatible with Windows 7 yet.
