Naugat- aha, thanks the pads are for a specific mission type, where you destroy toxic barrels by shooting them into the pads. I may simply remove them from other mission types, but they're still *kind of* useful as an enemy killing device. Agree it's not that clear though
larolaro- aah, sorry standing at the booth all day really killed my feet so I may have been taking a quick break for a coffee. Real sorry I missed you two, thanks for the encouragement

Sorry I didn't manage to catch you at Eurogamer Rich, I saw you a couple of times but you seemed busy talking to people. I checked out Pineapple Smash Crew though and it is badass as fuck, huge props man. Bringing it back to the oldskool, congrats man!
awesome man, digging the new trailer! I can't help but feel the text screens ruin the flow of gameplay though, it would be nice to see the text overlaying the footage instead of that nasty black background!
thanks bud.. yeah I know, I just have windows live movie maker though.. maybe there is a way to overlay images/text that I haven't discovered yet. Will look into it!

I'm sure there must be a way to do it, or am i giving movie maker too much credit? either way, if you can't get it to work, some other background colour would look nicer then black and white i feel. Maybe pixel art text would be nice too, if you have the time to do it.
Here you go Rooster, add the text as a caption or use the contemporary icon thing to get more complicated options! I've never used it I just opened up to see if I could help but it was so strait-forward makes me wonder if youve got the same version as me. I can take a screen shot if it's not obvious anway. Some thoughts on the trailer.
1. Not sure if the first title is the best choice, "Loads of unique Grenade types" doesn't really introduce the game to me. I can defer that the game probably has something to do with grenades but i'd try to ease the viewer in a bit more. Something like: "Launch grenades to kill baddies" (I don't know too much about the game, this is just an example). Just something that explains the game a bit more.
2. "Level up, get more grenades", does that mean more types or more in volume? Also, you might try to spice this one up a bit. "Level up, get new grenades with awesome unique effects" or something.
3. There's too much text on the "Power Up" title, I didn't have the time to read the smaller text.
4. The "Endlessly generated levels" didn't really appeal to me. From the footage I couldn't make out why that is so important and cool. Maybe say something about the missions? There was some mission complete text that intrigued me more than the generated levels. Anyway you know the game better so this one is more of personal feeling.
I guess all the comments are just about the text, kind of silly but I guess that just means the footage is awesome

I felt like I was fighting a losing battle with the text so I ditched it and just tried to make the trailer punchier, and hopefully it's enough to motivate someone to find out more

hey man, I would really like to sample your work. Seeing how you developed alot of your game will really help me for the indie game im currently working on
It's going to be next week before the new version is ready on steam, and I'll contact you individually with a beta key. If I don't get in touch with everyone immediately it's because I want to stagger new testers a little bit so when a new version appears I have some testers who are playing for the first time. I should have enough keys to get everyone involved though
