I think you should cover only the essential requirements if you are just starting to produce tutorial DVDs.

    For intense:

    -Low poly Character modeling.
    -unwrapping UVs.
    -Applying Texture.
-Creating Clusters (or smoothing groups or poly groups) and its core purposes in sculpting application and in Game engine like UDK.
    -Character simple rig.
    -Character walk cycles.
-Importing character walk cycles in to a program uhh...UDK (<.<). WITHOUT importing the rigged skeleton.
-Using the same rig to produce different animation cycles.
    -Simple Environment.

I fink thats too much for one DVD. Oh well, this should get your hands busy. :)

EDIT: As for blender. If you can do this in blender, it would be ideal. Though video game tutorials for Blender have been around and are free. =\

first let me thank you for your positive post.
yes, the DVD might contain more than 12 hours of comprehensive training.
so I will sketch a character, model it, texture it, rig it, animate it
then do these simple games from scratch in video tutorials like the diagram

a character will be around 600~800 faces, like my last character here

    render4.png

and the DVD purpose will be focused on making 3D games, even if you know nothing in the industry.

That's the only type of training material I ever see for Blender, very hobbyist oriented... Would've been great to see a Blender to UDK/Unity DVD like Nitewalkr suggested, but oh well!

Can you please make a dvd about making an mmo in blender game engine?? I'm pretty sure a ton of people here on polycount would love that, I keep hearing people talk about mmo's all the time, it IS the latest thing you know!

Oh, c'mon what did you expect? That flowchart doesn't make us understand ANYTHING about the DVD, hell, it doesn't make sense, even from a programming point of view, no snippets or demo prototype examples, and almost everything he stated has already been done to death.

The Ninja, Blenderella, The Creature, do I need to go on? Also, isn't he the guy that dismissed half of the questions in his thread about the Anubis/Clown piece?

So he doesn't have a good history nor so far any respectable skills to be an author of a DVD, and his outline seems iffy at best. I wish Belias the best in his work, but no thank you for the DVD.

Belias, aka 3d guru has been given chances over and over again, he has been banned and come back, he has promised to stop being nonsensical in general discussion.
Yet he comes back, retakes his self-proclaimed guru role and had about a 1 post long attempt at pimping his work to get feedback (which he did not listen to).
I think he's even managed to annoy even blenderartists.org at this point.

The level of quality in his artwork is at the same level it was back when I was at blenderartists.org years ago.

    He just wont absorb anything.

Belias, I don't hate you, I just wish you would've kept posting your artwork and take in feedback instead of going on wild entrepreneur trips using experience you don't have.

Edit: Lol. Of all people, how could I not spot a troll? Shame on me.

Belias isn't a troll, that's the thing, he is genuine.

He's the kind of person who would try to (and actually did), without any previous experience, open up a whole new community. (which is shut down now I assume)

He also tried to organize a 3d competition where the price was $10 or something, that he also entered himself.

In any case, for anyone who do not know the whole story, this looks horrible.
But for those who do know the whole story, you probably wonder why he hasn't been banned yet.

Blender's cursed for having a free price for being a magnet of such kinds. Imagine your daily shenanegans had Polycount gained a whole blender forum on here.

It's why I avoid blender art forums in general, it's all like "PUMP UP THE OSA! RENDER YAFRAY!!! SUBSURF YOU BITCH!" where no one does it by the poly/loops like here. It's like an anti-game modeling mindset, where "low-poly" is still subsurfed to hell and back which makes attempts at these dvds seem a bit of a baitful plan especially for a program that rearranges its UI for every 0.10 version

Also, Blender communties don't have lovable assholes, and that's no fun!

A person like this should be hired out at Konami, and be made to work there for minimum wage while polishing everyone's shoes for free.

EDIT: For those people who don't get it, in Japan, a bow below the belt is a huge deal.

And I assume Kojima was in Tokyo at the time, which only felt tremors... it was the north east that was and continues to be unimaginably altered by the last earthquake. I recommend you go and find the thread Crazy, Lamont made lots of informative posts ;)

Hideo Kojima wouldn't be affected by such things as Earthquakes and stuff because of the legions of texts the wave would have to break to get to him, and even then it would most likely it will crash on MGS4, and by the time it's done, Hideo will be very well on his way to be the governor of space.
