New wireless mouse needed

The middle wheel is sticking badly now on my old Microsoft mouse so I bought a new one today but it's really uncomfortable. Here's the problem...



So yeh it's tiny and cost £25 from the Comet store for the Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 4000 when it's 13 quid online! I don't know why I bother buying from stores anymore, the selection is poor and the prices are much higher

Any tips on a good ergonomic wireless mouse?

Has it got to be wireless?
Logitech mice seem to be quite 'tall' - which I personally don't like too much, it just feels wrong

Thanks for the reply. No it could be corded, I'm just used to this big wireless mouse. Had it for at least 4 years now and it fills my hand perfectly so there's no effort.
I can just imagine with that kids toy mouse after a few hours of high poly modelling, a few years and maybe I will need surgery.

Good point on the Razer mouse, the Razer mat had me mesmerized so I didn't really think to getting a mouse from them as well. I'll have a look at some reviews and hopefull they will give actual dimensions.

I used to have an MX518, which was amazing. (prob. the best mouse i have ever had)
I currently use a BluetoothMX Revolution, which i could also highly recommend (I only use that because it came with my keyboard and the MX518 broke:P)

i got the saitek cyborg for free a few years back. Someone got one from gdc or something and didn't want it. It transforms and perfect if you find normal mice too small or big.

And I've been using the logitech mx518 at work for over 4 years now, never had any issue.

oobersli, metalliandy thanks guys The Cyborg looks pretty useful and the newer Logitech mentioned seems very similar in design. As long as I can turn off the illumination when I'm watching a movie I'd probably go for the Cyborg with it's adjustable parts.

As I said I think Logitech's tend to be pretty hand-filling IMHO. I love my Copperhead, but its not really a hand filling mouse.

Never really played with Microsoft mice to be honest, so can't give an opinion. Best to try them out if you can find a store with a decent range...

mx518 it is, just ordered from ebuyer for £25 inc delivery. I was getting sick of watching mouse reviews but could only find good news about this mouse.

ps: I was going to go for this one (mx620) but everyone is sold out (it's supposed to be the wireless version of the mx518) maybe next time!

I find the Razer mousepad wonderfully ironic. Nice choice though!

A friend bought me the Razer Mumba wireless/wired rechargeable mouse as a wedding gift last year, and it's the only wireless mouse I've ever really liked.
