I'm giving a little break from stylized stuff and trying a likeness exercise. Mr. Fedor Emelianenko. Crits and tips in how to make him look more organic and natural are welcome.
For your latest sculpt the first thing i noticed was how sharp his jaw was in comparison, if you thicken just under the jaw I think this would improve it massively. Also I think you could add some more fat to the cheeks and maybe pull out the brow to the sides more.
Nice to see you try to do something realistic ^^. It's hard, I'm trying too.
Here let me show you some mistakes :
You really have to focus on the base proportions first. Like a drawing. And you can put a ref in the background of zbrush to compare. But the fov and perspective will always make strange things, sometimes it's better to follow your feeling.
Awesome sculpts! For the Fedor one, from the side view I second the jawline comment. Your sculpt needs a little more meat on the face. He also doesn't have much of a cranium. The nose and eyes look great.
Thank you very much for your crits, guys. I really have to learn how to put fat over my living creatures On my next free time, I'll try to incorporate all your advices to the model. Now let's back to the freelas.
