Picked up my copy at the midnight release last night, along with Assassin's Creed. I'll be playing through AC first and then jumping into SR3 after... so about a week or two from now.
Alright I need to figure out that upload your character feature works... lets start seeing everyone's characters akin to what folks are showin in the Skyrim threads eh?
Just finished the game... wow, that was utter crap.
Absolutely nothing about that game was at all polished, well designed, or really all that presentable. WTF were the reviewers smoking?
Seriously, congrats on screwing up both the Red Faction and Saints Row series, THQ, bravo on that.

I'm afraid I have to agree completely. Very glad I rented this one before buying.
I couldn't even finish it... I think I got the general idea of the game by about an hour or two in. Basing my thoughts on the missions I had done, I guessed the rest of the game went something like this:
Drive somewhere > Fight off 5 waves of enemy gang members > drive somewhere else > done.
Drive somewhere > Fight off 5 waves of enemy gang members > drive somewhere else > done.
Drive somewhere > Fight off 5 waves of enemy gang members > drive somewhere else > done.
It was fun for a very limited time, a lot of fun, but the fun just didn't last.
And as for polish, man some of this game looks horrific. I mean, the cars and bikes are the worst offenders, when you get close ups in the garage, that shit looks bad.
If I could sum up what I imagine the dev-team to be thinking when they made this game it would be this:
Designer A : What if we made a weapon out of a big purple dildo?

I think the worst part of the game was that there were some real gems of ideas shining through the piles of crap, and nobody bothers to look and say "wow... that's neat, let's take that and run with it for a while".. everything was a one-shot idea that was never really fleshed outand expanded upon, so you never could enjoy the humor of it (especially within the confines of some of those truly horrible missions).
