The full release is going to be Friday (no more beta, buy the game now before the price goes up), but it sounds like it'll still be in post-development for a while.
Tossing out that I'm still in favor of "Polycount City" around the starting area once the new rev of the game's out. Give everyone a ~15 x 15 plot of land with a fence, gating, and enough torches to keep the baddies out.
Kinda surprised that the NPC's still don't do a damn thing... After playing on a server that had a mod which created small NPC towns with shops and trading, feels like this "final build" is incomplete.

Don't need much, really, just a reason to hunt down and visit the towns. A few npc's with some canned dialog offering exchanges, food, items, lodging, etc was all the mod had, and it made a world of difference to the game.
Server is down again.... =\ and I hate the DNG's Minecraft Server for now because I am at such a remote place that I cant even walk back to the main town. =\
Marked the stronghold with a glowstone tower and ladder down to ir at -840, -425. Didn't touch anything in it. So have fun whoever. Try not to creative mode spoil it
yeah i managed to get on last night for the first time after getting that invalid whatnot thing.
deleted the server ogff the list and re-making it seamed to do the trick...still get it occasionally
i get the invaid thing too, i have no idea how to fix it.. but if i keep trying it lets me in... yah i know thats not helpful.. sorry... i just work here.
and as requested this is a vannila server, and there should be too much over building going on... M.. when the mods get there stuff updated i will be making a multiverse server again and the vannila folks can be vannila and M can go nuts
Just a note for anyone running a 64 bit version of Windows (particularly Win7), go to the Java web site with the 64 bit version of IE and grab the 64 bit version of Java. I don't know the technical aspects of it, but doing that has made the game run better through multiple revisions.
Tried to "direct connect" to the following adresses and got the following responses:
74.207.224.139 = Internal exception: java.net.SocketException: Connection reset
minecraft.polycount.com = failed to login: Bad login
mc.polycount.com = The server responded with an invalid server key

it is...
It's more of a release-milestone than it is the final build, I read somewhere that they're hiring an AI programmer full time for minecraft.
Coords: 160, 20
Try refreshing the server list a few times. I've had to do that.

Started digging a hole in the swamp for my pad. The whole time this little thing was running through my head: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n7GyLr7Cz2g"]Amos Moses - Jerry Reed - YouTube[/ame]
