that is ace dude love the proportions and the way the textures are going, I have to say, I do quite like the super clean bits though. GREAT Job Man!!!!!

Not sure if you wanted to explore the rusted version, but it works imho. Might want to add more copper tinted colors in the yellow armor bits though.
Love the style, model turned out great! however I'm not too sold on the texture, I think you could really make it pop with some more defined edges and some gradients to show some variation, then you can tone down some of that rust, especially in the normal map. The bright red specular is looking a bit awkward at the moment

@ Maph: Thanks man. I have tried adding some scratches and revealing the undercoat but I found it muddied the overall result. I am going to try and pull back some of the rust action like JFletcher mentioned and maybe then they will sit a bit better, But yeah I would like to add some scratches and underpaint,,, even if it is just a little bit. Thanks man.

I was really digging the rust in the beginning but as I go on I think it IS starting to become too overpowering esp the normal map. For consistency I might quickly bust out the rest of the rust like I have been then go through and polish some of it out and push it in the ways you have suggested. Thanks again and thanks for the paintover, it really helps.
Well here we are another update with little change but this will probably be a last update for a while we are breaking up for easter today and then my girlfriend and I are headed to Malaysia for 10 days on the 27th (which probably means I won't get to finish Ironman in time, but it's not over till the round woman screams so I will try ).

Well it is update time. I have started killing the rust in places and tweeking the textures. Still all wippy but it is getting there. I can see at least 1 seam that needs immediate attention. I have also included a .png of the logo so anyone and everyone can grab it if they want.
An Ironman game with this char would be f'ing sick. I can imagine the enemies and enviro and other characters. Hwo he would jet around and all that. The animations.
When is the game industry going to go back to making real games?

Great style, it might be nice to break some of those larger pieces of armor with some weld/panel edges as the silhouette is nice but it would be nice to see some smaller details.

@ Baj Singh: Thanks . Yeah in my initial concept he had rivets holding him together, but when I threw them on they sort of didn't work. I am running out of time but if I can bottle some up I will give them another go.

Well as I said I fly tomorrow and don't come back for 10 days so this will be my last one for a while. I have added 3 little drone missiles. The idea is that they stick with you and can be launched 1 at a time or in quick succession or all at once. They can also act as land mines, or proximity mines. OR if you make it through a whole round without using any of them you can activate a special finishing move. KAPOWWWW!
Basic stand and really basic pose. Anyway
