3D Race Tracks in Maya

I am currently working on modelling a race track in Maya, which will then be imported into UDK. I was told about the CV Curve tool, which has made my track building process much easier, however I am having trouble getting the division of the track to be equal. What I am trying to do is build a straight track segment template that can be used to build the rest of the track. Whenever I extrude along the CV curve, the divisions of the segment bunch up in the middle. This would create some problems with texturing later on, something I am hoping to avoid. Is there any way to extrude along a CV curve and have equal division throughout the extrusion?
