Looks solid so far. The bottom of the dress doesn't read that victorian style or the shoes. Otherwise this looks pretty good. Can't wait to see the sculpt.

I'm working on pushing some things conceptwise- adding some more frill to the hat- adding some lace leg covers-instead of straps- parasol to replace the bow staff for weapon-also thinking of a less saturated color pallette-probably start knocking a base mesh in here today.

I'd say loose the umbrella... It makes her look rather silly. Why not a staff?
Love what you did with the top and the collar though!

Is it supposed to be Victorian? It looks like that's where you started with the idea, but going with more exposed leg is the opposite of where you want to be going if it is supposed to be Victorian era. The skirt and dress should come down a lot further if you want to keep it period appropriate.

Great concept Dan, I prefer the longer skirt, but I agree that the short one makes nore sense and probably looks a shedload better in silhouette....looking forward to seeing how she turns out:)

The folds around the waist and the back part are looking great. Not sure about the lower legs area yet. Doesn't seem as victorian to me as a longer dress.

Really nice, like that I'm not the only one doing the gender switch. The sculpt you got going is already keeping the raiden look with feminine wiles, great stuff!

jramauri- Thanks! I actually didnt start this one off as steampunk although I experimented with giving her gauntlets which I dont think I will be doing anymore- I think I will be keeping this victorian influenced but not steampunk as I won't be adding any tech.

Update to the hat and embroidery work - the hat now has a veil which will be slightly transparent or lacy or beaded- not sure yet

Not sure if this was mentioned, but it might be appropriate to add a veil to the hat. Just seems like it would work well with this character.

thanks dustinbrown- I am working out how to get some lighting elements into her embroidery or something without using the chinese symbol for lightning which is one of the original design elements for raiden.

Jramauri- haha yeah I will be working on the head a bit more towards the end of the process- but yeah she needs some caffiene- I'll look into the torso length although I think all the deco around the waist is obscuring some of the scale

I like the design. I suck so bad at designing outfits and clothes.

Though, that is a lot of distance between her legs. All the way up to the crotch area, that's a lot of distance between legs. Big hips are alright, but hips does not equal a 6 inch wide crotch.

Question for anyone looking- regarding sex appeal- I would like to have this character compete with the more in your face designs- one of the points that has come up is that I could push the sex appeal a bit harder- so opinions on how or why I should or should not do thjat would be greatly appreciated.

I think you could work more on laces and lingerie. They are always sexy. Make her stockings ligther, and with laces, like this:

Maybe you could give her a sexier corset too. And remove or shorten that fabric in front of her panties, so you could see them.

I'd actually really like to see you not try to push the sex appeal. There's so much of that around, sure it might get people to click on it but the awesome is going to come from the awesome, not from the sex itself.

I think you've got a really solid design going right now, and think perhaps you should elaborate it, but not oversexify it if you can help it. Personally I think skank Raiden would be sort of weird. Besides, Raiden's a god, yeah, guardian of Earth and all that? Powerful women don't necessarily need to use their sex to command respect or to exemplify their power. I think it might actually weaken the design.

But, those are just my thoughts on it. Your call, good luck! :thumbup:

Although my previous post, giving a recipe in how to make a woman more appealing, I agree completely with Two Listen. If you could avoid to sexify her, it would be better.
