But why does it cost money? Why isn't it free?
Thats the protestants your thinking about. Catholics never had any problem monetizing God. They invented papal indulgences, remember?
Not a terribly Idea for the very penitent really. Sounds more like it's note pad for your sins, plus your standard library of prayers and probably a step by step confession guide. Should be in the pocket of every believer!
Problem is...2 bucks. Really. When I can just go to Church and pick up a pamphlet? The things the church does for money. Like anything. Nice comment bbob, totally right.
Thanks Jesus!

I dont think working towards the destruction of other peoples cultures and beliefs is a very noble thing to do, honestly I find this article on cracked.com kinda funny and more enlightening reading on the subject http://www.cracked.com/article_15759_10-things-christians-atheists-can-and-must-agree-on.html
One way is obvious, the "scamming" part.
But why is Scientology "silly and terrible" and other religions not?
I guess hypocrisy comes as natural to people as fear.
Personally I wish for a period of time with rekindled interest in the older religions, like Norse/Greek/Egyptian/Assyrian Religion, which are just as much a religion as Christianity, Buddhism, Islam and Hinduism.
Or even better, make a new one, with hookers and black jack.
Not to mention some of those pics were priceless...
If you had 5 sons that look very very similar to the passer by in looks and mannerisms but actually at heart they are very different people but where the rest of them are fairly approachable one of them misbehaves in secret and refuses to let you know much about himself, would you say it is justified to punish all 5 sons because they are so similar to the one who is misbehaving?
thanks makkon, yeah its a bit of a long article but a decent read if you find yourself in these conversations from time to time.
