EDIT: added some closeup views of the rock piece. built to be rotated to produce different rock shapes.
Some better placement of the mountains + 1 of 2 mountain textures done.
I got a tutorial coming up on how I made the mountain texture, hopefully within a day or two
Still freaki'n amazing! Are you thinking of adding any characters or objects to the scene? Or is it just for training/test purpose? Would be cool with a horse(s) coming at you in full speed with a big cloud of dust behind it. Maybe borrow a cowboy from Lead and gold
Would be awesome to see this engine be used in some kinda FPS. Hmmmm :P
Looking forward to the tutorial (:
[EDIT] So that rock piece is just geometry with a tiling texture? Looks nice!
I havent had a chance to post yet and say that this is really amazing quality and such a simple scene. I look forward to see some of those tuts. Keep up the good stuff.
As everyone has mentioned prior, I thought one of your renders was the actual photo lol I love this scene and await your tutorials! it's always nice to see how people go about in their workflow, plus i'm curious about that vertex blend from the ground into the rock meshes myself ><

No more straight blocky edges (unless you intentionally want them!)
has it been asked what engine this is? proprietary?
