Forum mods - post editting time limit?

Heya forum mods, I did a quick search and didn't come across anything in particular on this. What's the forum's time limit set at for allowing the editting of posts, and is this time limit reset after a post has been editting?

Huh? I don't know of any time limitations. But if you're unable to, its likely because you're a member and not an admin.

Ah, ok. I had it be an issue once or twice in the past, had to have one of the forum mods do a change for me. Mainly askin cause I was gonna start up a thread in P&P shortly, and would potentially be updating the first post some as I wanted to keep what was posted and updated all to one post.

I'm fairly sure there isn't a time limit. I just checked and I can still edit posts that I've made a week ago.

Even if there is a time limit on posts, I'm fairly sure that the time limit doesn't apply to the first post of a thread, although I'm basing that mostly off of seeing Adam edit his first post in P&P. I do recall people being able to do it during the Polypack competition though.

I wasn't even aware of the existence of post-editing time limits until this thread. I googled it and it seems to be quite common.

Anyway I just tried editing a post I made almost 3 years ago, worked fine.

Cool. It might have been an older version of the forum that had a time limit on it, cause I remember having to have bearkub edit a post for me in the past. Thanks guys.
