Little stylized kid who takes the 'butcher boy' insect a little too far. Equipped with his own custom made cardboard costume and some butcher knives :P
i love the textures, and the model is almost there but i think you got to play a bit more with the proportions. Specifically,try scaling up the hands and feet. Stylized character doesn't necessarily mean totally unbalanced proportions.

I think your original concept is far more appealng than the relatively realistic direction you've taken the model. At this point after texture, maybe you won't want to do too much major reworking, but it would be nice to try to capture a little more of the endearing face that you had in the concept.
It'd also be good to have some indication of what the carapace is from the front view.
