I've only been modelling since October but I made my first high poly gun once I learned smoothing and subdividing in Maya


This is based off a Bond Texas Defender but I changed a lot of stuff

Really cool, but I'm not sure if you purposefully want it to be so simple? Adding some reliefs in empty, flat areas like the handle and along the barrel would be a good touch to this.

Cool model. but the grip looks really ankward to have in the palm of your hand. Is that intentional?

As Visceral said, the only problem is the grip in my opinion. Just seems really awkwards to hold. Other than that the detail is good but maybe replacing the grip to maybe a revolve esque grip and adding patterened details on the model since it looks like a dueling pistol ^^.
