Yeah, I jumped on the global Agenda wagon when it first dropped... There isn't enough staying power for my taste. Also, to do any of the really cool stuff, you need to join a big guild(forgot what they call guilds). For as cheap as it is, try it out. It was fun but nothing really late game. My two cents.
I picked up like...18 games so far..and got gifted a bunch of stuff. I bought Mass Effect 1 and 2..I never played them before cause I am not one for western RPGs and choose your own open world adventure...but god damn. I'm completely blown away by how captivating and interesting and fun it is! Maybe I will give Bioware games a second chance now..
Painkiller: Black Edition for $4.99. That's original Painkiller, with the battle out of hell expansion. 6 years old, but still one of my top games ever. I absolutely love shooting the shit out of a hundreds of enemies. It's so much fun
Anyone played Global Agenda? Been meaning to check it out for ages, seems rude not to now at £4.99.
yeah its nice, certainly not a bad buy at that price! Ive played it for about 7 hours and Im getting rather bored, takes a long time to level up and the single player missions are not particularly exciting and the bad guys can kill you in 2 or 3 shots so I guess Im meant to grind away at lower level bad dudes but I cant be bothered. The multiplayer coop missions can be great fun though, especially when you get a nice team.
Team Deathmatch/ CTF type stuff seems all very similar to quake/teamfortress etc so I didnt really bother with that, also the players are usually higher lvld than me so those game modes are unnatractive.
Hah, I somewhat regretted not getting L4D2 last time it was on sale, looks like I had nothing to worry about (and it's even cheaper since i have the first one)
Grabbed GTAIV Complete (full game + lost and the damned + ballad of gay tony) for $10. Just in time for my rebuilt rig which should be able to actually run it well
Also picked up Shatter for $2.50, I've heard nothing but amazing things about it.
Since the sales started I bought for myself:
- Amnesia
- Arma II: British Forces
- Tropico 3
- Bad Company II + Vietnam
- Tank Universal (awesome tron inspiration)
- Wings of Prey
- Flatout Ultimate Carnage
- X3: Gold
- Flotilla (the bees knees)
- GTAIV: Complete
Friend bought me World of Goo and another bought me Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor
I've gifted Bad Company II + Vietnam twice as well as Napolean Total War.
It keeps declining my credit card. =( I have money! AND I NEED DIVINITY II. What a tease.
Has your card recently been re-issued? I had a similar problem a few months ago, kept being declined. Turns out, my steam account had the old card expiration date in the info, so since the new card had a new CCID # (3digit num on back of card), my bank kept thinking it was fraudulent. I updated the CC exp date and CCID# and it worked fine after that.
Strange, Lamont! I bought it this morning and the store page says 75% off just fine. Checked it again right now and it says the same thing - 75% off. I don't see anything strange going on
Hey, Lamont. If I remember correctly you live in Japan, correct? Maybe it has to do with you being in a different country. In the Steam Forums people form Germany and Sweden were complaining about getting different discounts, or no discounts at all on certain games.
For some reason the sale on GTA IV isn't available in my region... Why would that not be available in dang U.S. Oh well, I wasn't going to buy it anyway.

It was on sale day before yesterday. I bought it for like $13 or whatever.
Another buy here, Mafia 2 deluxe with the two bigger dlcs!
The bad thing i see with this xmas sales, is that there aren't too many games for PC. I ended buying 4 games, i bought all what i liked before (play.com and another crazy sales in steam).
- Fear 2 + Reborn
- Crysis + Warhead (i already had Crysis but retail)
- GTAIV complete edition
- Mafia II + 2 dlcs
- Portal
In the past months i bought too many retail games at play.com like splinter cell conviction, the last prince of persia and darksiders, between 14~25 euro. What i wasted in steam could be only 2 games
The GTAIV complete edition costs 25 euro at play.com and it was in 8,75, a big deal. I bought it 3 minutes before the end of the xmas sales hehehe.
I should have gotten Crysis. Man. Mirrors Edge is one of the most frustrating games I have ever played. Absolutely horrible combat skills and a shit plot. I cant believe non of their testers at Dice weren't hitting desks in frustration of the lack of the games finesse. I wish I could get my money back on it. Im that pissed off at it.

I liked it, even with the weak plot. Horrible with WASD control. I hope you were using some kind of controller. When you get really good, the game is just way too easy: free run to build up meter, attack, free run, build up more, attack a group, free run, slow mo attack, disarm, free run...

Sheeet, gonna go play some more...
Keyboard. There is something wrong when a FP game works better on gamepad.

a: play in a gamepad
b: learn the combat, and dont use it when its avoidable.
It is not a game about brawling or shooting, it's a game about a really slick set of platforming mechanics.
