Mudbox 2011 stamp problem

Hi, well im working on a small model and I wanted to try out a vector displacement modeling technique. Soon did I realize that my stamps aren't acting the way they should be. all my tools work properly, stencils as well, but the stamps.. no matter which one I use, just doesn't work. For example, I take the sculpt tool set it to 100% strenght and it barely lifts a polygon/face. no matter what size brush. no matter what option I play with.. no luck.

Annyone know this problem. Maybe because I did some Scaling before importing it to mudbox ?

    Tamago,

How many times are you sub-dividing your model in Mudbox? I've encountered the problem you're describing when trying to sculpt at level 1 or 2. The more levels your add (shift+D) the polys MB has to move around.

I sub about 4-5 times and the problem seems to persist at every level. :P

You could both be right, but i think it´s the scaling(i don´t think tamago tries to use such stamps if there are not enough polygons to begin with)
I could be wrong there, but i think Mudbox will tell him something like "This mesh is to coarse to sculpt on go to a finer subdivision level" or something

The scaling is very important on mudbox and one of the most common mistakes. If you scale it to small it will totaly freakout and go OMGWTFBBQ!?! and if it´s to big it will hardly change anything.
