I needed to teach myself ZBrush and what better way to practice, than doing it on an old beaten up Axe from the Warhammer universe
I aim to make it into a Game asset, so enough detail inside ZBrush without overdoing it.
I found this concept and started working:
Here is where I'm at currently inside ZBrush:
I'm not happy with the wooden shaft yet, but I'm unsure how to make the top part of it work better.
Also the cloth around the handle, any suggestions how I could get a proper feel for that?
That's the two parts I'm having problems with so far, I think I'm going to mess around a bit more inside ZBrush before I begin making the rope and metal "thingies" around the top.

The chipping along the blade edge?
Keep it up

Man, I´m working on exactly that model!
The small metal piece is actually there, just on the other side
The small cylinder I omitted intentionally, I just can't imagine orcs would think that much about their design. What I see it as, they just take a chunk of metal, form it as something deadly and slap it on a metal shaft. I actually did try to model it in, it just looked wrong.
And yeah, I agree that metal piece is a bit too big now that you mention it.
Yeah, I need to get some proper references.
i was just about to say the same thing, at least 4 or 5 members personally. good start none the less, so keep it up
