Finally getting on and posting something, instead of just lurking in the corner
I'm an environment artist by trade, but I love doing Character stuff outside of work. So my anatomy and sculpting may need some help. This Character started off as a Zsphere head, based loosely off one of Carlos Huante's concepts. So i am trying to add to it and hopefully it won't looked pieced together.

Reworking the whole body... trying to add some anatomy and make sense of it. Added first pass of the wings.

After going to a pixologic demo held yesterday in LA (http://ugm.pixologic.com/registration/1011-LosAngeles/)... i was inspired to try to do some rendering and color test as shown by Ian Joyner. Some very cool techniques of rendering out layers and using photoshop to composite the images. This may be the way I finish up this character also. But this is a quick color test.
