so it's been like a few months since I posted.
anyways, I've been working on this gun.
I got this far, and I made a low poly and textured it.
I'm going to be redoing this. I'll be redoing the high and starting over with the low poly, and also the texturing. I don't really like it, that's why I'm redoing it, I figured I'd get feedback from you guys, seeing as you guys give good feedback. :poly121:

It's better than my first attempt imo.
Texture looks good so far, still lacking detail but I hope thats no news to you
Some greasy around the bolts and levers would look nice as well I think.

specifically the holes in the side. They look like they go straight through, making your mag look like a solid block, instead of a thing shell.
im not sure how accurate you are trying to get, just thought i would give you a heads up

looks like the texture could do with an ambient occlusion/cavity map to give it some built in shadows.
The materials are looking monochromatic at the moment, adding some color variation would help tremendously.

Ok, I've added some slight colour variation and did some more work on the spec. I'm also working on the engravings on the side.

I just noticed that I could have cleaned up the top part.
I forgot to mention that I use spec, normal, and diffuse maps.
I guess it's been almost a year, not even a year. whatever.
here's some things I made.
they're from a few months back.
mp5k, finally got around to finishing it, made a low poly and unwrapped it and somewhat textured it, didn't like it. so I'll be doing it over again.
A stabby thing
barrel, kinda textured it, people said it was too clean, I was going to dirty it up some with dings and scratches. never got around to it
And my current project, started it two days ago, couple hours into it.
Any thoughts, crits, whatever, feel free to comment on anything.
