This was totally not what I was expecting when I read the thread name......I will never doubt you again good sir. My one critique is it would have been nice if you had modeled the dog tags.

Nice model. Maybe add some dirt on his boots and pants to make it seem like he's actually done some work. Everything looks too clean and fake atm.

In other news, I like the veins, Great touch. Keep it up!

I think it's a pretty good go of the superbeefed variety.
My one problem is that it seems you kind of just guessed on where some of the muscles should go and how they come together. It's kind of like you sorta of knew where things went and then just layed it down. You've got good shapes and volumes, but the placement on the whole is kinda lacking.

    Areas of concern:
Whole back is lacking. Mostly how the muscles are formed on the latissimus dorsi and how that connects to the trapezius.
In the front the upper part of the abdominals is a little weird. Looks like an arch of a doorway. The serratus anterrior muscle group is huge and makes your external oblique look non existent.
I'm personally not a fan of how you have the pectorals connecting to the shoulders.
The wrists look a little skinny from the front.

Overall your technical execution is good. But there was few too many liberties taken on the anatomy for my tastes.

His pants are not the correct camo. They are ACUPAT, which is only worn by US Army soldiers. If you want him to be a marine, give him MARPAT.

whoah...hes huge...............................................................(thats what she said) the anatomy is super great! i think hes tricep is a little too big.....it looks freakish when you look it from behind, i think the muscle placement looks Okay, you could work on it a little bit more, the neck could come down a little? its really long o_o...

@BlvdNights: ROFL, yea I know title is corny as f*** :poly136: , i wanted to draw some attention to get some feedback, but hey i guess it worked :) . Thanks man. I was thinking abut modelling those dogtags but finally decided that it was too much unnecessary geometry for such a small thing i had version baked on floating planes but it sucked.

@A-N-P: Yeah, it's pretty clean, there is actually some dirt on the soles and boots tho. Thanks man.

@dur23: Hey man, thanks for such precise critique, you got good points there. Obviously i was going for stylised anatomy especially when you look at serratus anterior i wanted that 90's cartoons vibe, I am deffenetly aware that its not 100% accurate human anatomy. With that said you are right in many things. I studdied anatomy for over year now, and it was all about forms and shapes for me. Alot of photos of body builders, ecorche etc. i just recenty started to look at it from medical point of view. Thanks man, i hope my next models will be better :).

@StealthSilver: Well that's very informative, i actually used word "marine" in exchange for "soldier" , didn't realy aim at actual representation of U.S. Marine. Well lets asume he is after duty and he can wear what he wants :). Thanks man, you learn something new every day.

@Cap Hotkill: Is that a matter of personal taste or you can point out something that is incorrect ? I actually spen quite some time on the face :( . Thanks tho, happy you like the rest :).

@Neox: Like he is not clich

red boot color is a little funky. sort of makes him look like a muscle punk if there is such a thing.

his tats and muscles remind me of vulcan raven

The folds on the pants are superb, but the specular on them sort of makes them looks too hard, like they're made of metal or something. Pants don't usually have such high specular

maybe hes so badass that he wears metal pants?

you should see what it looks like if you flip the knife around so hes holding it with the blade pointing backwards, for some reason i always think that looks really cool

are those hand cuffs on his belt?

hehe.. hes making a face at me...also he must be on that rare kind of flexing everything at the same time roid... seriously tho, the knife is cool, but being held by a guy that huge...it dosnt really matter, go with huge gun for sure. o wrists are a little strange, i think it is the pose you modled them in.

@n88tr: Oh thats on point, even though i didn't know about this character (never played MGS :poly122: ) the resemblance is uncanny. Boots are actually saturated brown, i was heavily inspired by "Red Wing" boots -> http://www.hypebeast.com/image/2009/10/ronnie-fieg-red-wing-shoes-8-boots-2.jpg

@SasoChicken: Thanks man. I actualy tweaked it with spec map but it's hard to control it in old marmoset since it doesn't support gloss maps only sliders for global gloss of mesh. I will look more into it and try to post some updates. On the other hand silk has pretty high spec silk ... badass marine in silk camo pants ... hmm :poly141:

@dansher: Word, metal pants would be so badass lol. Yup those are hand cuffs.

@Sandro: Thanks man, I spend some time designing them, glad you like it.

@woogity: Yeah, probably same juice Bane got injected :) Had to fit it in 10k tri , but maybe I will give him some big gun one day. I think wrists may look bit weird after deforming. Rig was shitty and didnt had forearm twist controll so only hand at the wrist area twisted ...

I'd just like to kinda reinstate what dur23 said earlier in that technically you've done well, I'm sure you know that anyway! I think your anatomy and his face are a little off in places though, I think a few small tweaks to this model could make it look a whole lot better. Saying that it's still a good model, I'm only just starting on the sculpting of my second full model so thanks for posting your workflow, is always inspiring to see stuff like that, good job :D

Negative ghost rider! A lot of the Marines have bought their own uniform :P Excellent observation though.

I think the Lips are sticking out too much, the front looks ok, but its the profile that turns me down, maybe you should compare the profile against some references :)
