Alright I'm having a bit of trouble deciding on what to do with the tail as far as overall design goes so I did a couple of paint overs and would like the great community of polycount to help me decide which design would work best.
3 seems like the right shape to go with, but I think the torso needs to be a bit thicker between the through the belly and between the legs so you wind up with a broader start to the tail.
Alright thanks for your feedback guys! I was leaning more towards 1 or 4 because of the thicker tail tip which would be more like in the concept, but 3 seems to be the popular vote so I will see what I can do with that.

I chose 3 due to the length mostly, as I felt it was more balanced proportionally. So, if you want to go with a similar length and different shape, that may end up better.
Alright I got the basic forms of the tail done today and I pretty much nailed what I intended to do so I am pretty happy about that. I applied the length of the 3rd tail design and put that nice thicker tip on the tail that you see in the concept. Please keep in mind that the render was shot in a perspective view so the tail may appear a bit shorter than it actually is. I also redid the teeth to be more skinner and I put a crease in the middle of the teeth to pronounce the hardness of them. You can't really see the new teeth in the current render, but I will do a close up on them later on.
Didn't get as much today as I would have liked to, but I did manage to add a little more detail to the tail and add more spikes to the tail as well. Hopefully a bigger update will come in the next few days.
I'm thinking the row of similarly shaped spines on the head is making the silhouette look a bit mushy. I think if you lose the ones on top of the cranium and maybe vary the scale of the nose ones a bit it'd make a big difference.
Regardless, it's a great looking sculpt you've got going.
Finally got the legs figured out. The changes are very slight, but I messed with the overall shape of the calf region and I toned down the thigh muscle.

I do each one by hand.
Here are our T-rexs for an example of what I mean (and because they're pretty neat).

Anyway here is the render!
I can't wait to see this finished!
Coming from a man of your skill level Maph means the world to me. I'm so glad that you like this piece.
Everyone expect another update soon!
Oh btw I was just messing around with different materials in Zbrush last night and decided to do another paint over on one of my renders.
Here is the close up I promised. I have only done the four top teeth, but I will do the others in a short while.

Great job on the details and the scales.....
Keep at it!!
