btw i dont think environment need normal map before it the capability of interacting with shadow and dynamic moving light or specular.
unique texture is good, but see if this can be push even further : texture streaming. like they did in Rage

I think a lot of RAGEs appeal just went out the window.

The elder scroll games were always fun, but they really never looked good. The characters always look horrible, awkward, and stiff, poor animation, and mediocre environments.
I was hoping for an open engine like they are doing with the udk, cry engine, unity, etc.
Rage actually looks well done, lots of detail everywhere, and the little game play I've seen looks refreshing and new, and its sounds like they are going to mix things up.
Quoted for truth. The old people in Oblivion were creepy as shit, looking like their faces were about to melt off. I wonder if BEthesda will use th tch for their next Fallout (after Vegas) since Rage is pretty much the same type of game.

What strikes me as awesome about this is perhaps id can spend their time working on tech like carmack seems to love and beth can go make things with it.
That, or the oscuros oblivion overhaul, which fixed the entire game and usually becomes the main thing someone installs after they've installed oblivion
And I the nude mods, anime schoolgirl characters, furry plugins and anything that made the game look like second life.
The nude mods always seemed in such bad taste. They were presented with a load of pictures of naked dead women, pulled about into poses. Kind of like the victims of a sexual psychopath. :poly122:
