Hey Guys
I created some uvs utalizing the space suitable for a 2048 x 1024 map. I originally intended to add another model and utilize the top half of the map for a single 2048x2048 map but have since decided otherwise. Now I want to change the uv space from 2048x2048 to 2048 x 1024. I see that I can change the uv space in the uvw unwrap modifier via the bitmap options but it squishes the uvs . Is there a way I can change the uv space without squishing the uvs?
Pretty sure someone on this forum has the tip posted on their website but I cannot find it again.

Apply a UVW Xform modifier and in V Tile put 2.0 to scale it vertically double what it was.
The other method involves using the freeform scale tool (next to the scale tool) to just dragging it fit after you've set the size correctly.
