I know you are out there lurking somewhere..
Just tried the demo of this game
Rise of Flight, and even with the horrible controls a keyboard has to offer, I was blown away with the subtle and passionate detail that has gone into this. Plus, its the prettiest WWI sim I have ever laid my eyes on (sorry harry :P). Really took me back to when I was a kid playing Red Baron II.

It's apparently been around for a bit, but if you've got a passion for the flying contraptions of yesteryear, I strongly suggest you to try this out.

Thanks for the linkage. IL2 was getting a little long in the tooth for me. Nice to have another good sim.
Rise of Flight is good, but I love DCS: Black Shark - a russian Ka-50 gunship simulator. It's most advanced simulator since Falcon 4

They are now working on A-10C game, I can't wait.

*zips down the the shops to get a joystick*
Just kidding, Rise of flight is a lot of fun! I got schooled though, imagine that.
Longbow2 and f-15 were awesome!
Im getting that a-10 game!!
Talking of redbaron a mate of mine worked on the original red baron games.
Of course. I spent hours on Jane's WWII Fighters. Too bad the new 'Jane's' game is arcade shooter
I do. I have LockOn with first Flaming Cliffs addon.
OOOOOHHHH MR FANCY PANTS
Must be a real thrill, what do you fly?
However,
This game you have brought to my attention looks quite appealing. So much so that I may relinquish the necessary funding required to obtain a legal copy of the said entertainment software.
I want!!!!
btw ....
remember this annoying CPU sound?

I'd love to see new Elite too. X3 is a nice game, but space there is so limited with their gates and sectors
Was a huge flight sim fan since, something new that brought back that nostalgia would be great.
Having to pay extra for any new plane also didn't really do it for me - i sometimes wonder if the game would be more successful if they didn't require this.
It's really pretty tho.

no fighters though.
Last I've heard is that they are working on a dynamic campaign for it. They are also selling a boxed iron cross version in north america now, including all the planes.
Thanks, got to try that out.
Eagle Dynamics released DCS: Warthog beta for everyone who preordered game on their site. There is one very interesting thing, if you have 64bit system 32bit binaries are optional.

It looks like flight simulators are again ahead other genres
