I'm not much a character modeler, being an environment guy and all, but I have been itching to do some character art lately. I'm going to be looking for a lot of help when it comes to anatomy and well... ...just about everything thing. I have also been historically bull-head when it comes to critiques, so I'd like to work on that as well.
I'm working on a fan art piece of Turanga Leela from FUTURAMA. Feel free to comment, paint over, site reference, or help in any way you see fit.

my sculpt so far:
As you can see I'm going for a realistic approach to the character. This will likely be the most involved turn around, I just wanted to get the most feedback I could to avoid major re-working later on.
THANKS

here is a reference that maybe works for you ;-) ...
I prefer the comic versions more ...
they didnt make a real life one did they?
she does look a little bit to tall
*her knees a a bit to small,
*that v shape you have going around the hip and into the thong zone is much to defined and perhaps defined not anatomically correct, i like to go for just 2 little dimples and soften other areas.
*her belly sticks out a bit to far from the side view and could use a bit more curves.
*Her back has very defined areas around the scapula that could work if smoothed jsut a bit
* back of her neck definition is a bit to much.
in general just try starting off hinting at muscular structure and ease into some areas that may be more defined, since she is a martial artist trained by Fnog
I think the eye is gonna be the hardest part to make, at least that's what I'm feeling.
thanks stolenpants for the crits. I will definitely work on those points.
as far as the "too tall" comment, too tall compared to what? what did you guys mean? like stretched out?
