Hey everyone.
Haven't been on a lot recently. I've been checking out the homepage for news items but that's about it. Very busy with graduating high school, mountain bike racing, and life in general.
But that is about to change. Today I decided I would FINALLY go out and buy a tablet! YAY! So I got a Wacom Intuos4 Medium.
It is AMAZING! I love it.
So I've decided to start my own sketchbook. This will be primarily 2d paintings. Something to note is that
I suck at drawing. So these are going to suck for a while. But I am motivated to get better and that is what is going to happen. I'm going to start out slow and just keep drawing/painting until I get better. I plan on starting off with a painting every couple days. I want to say every day but I doubt that will happen.
Here is painting I did today. Took roughly an hour using ArtRage. That hour took place after an hour of changing the settings and fooling around.
Please let me know what you think!

Art rage is a great cheap app to mess with--it forces you to be a little looser with your paint application, which, for starting out, is a great thing! Speedpaintings will help you progress your sense of composition and color quickly--so start knocking some out!
Vig and Joe: Thanks guys!
Here is the next one:
Saw my brothers husky Freyje outside my room and decide to do a quick sketch. Took a little bit of time to get used to the opacity setting. Also tried to use the opacity to sort of highlight stuff and push the perspective... didn't work that well. :P
Also. Thanks bounch for help!
Finished this a couple days ago.
Here we go.

So recently I moved to LA and started at Otis College of Art and Design. I've decided to show some stuff that I'm doing on this thread.
Please do not really critique stuff. Especially the life drawing. I have a teacher who is teaching me her way of drawing and I would rather just keep this simple.
Check out blog.scott-talbot.com for more of an up to date sketchbook.
