Well, my opinion doesn't matter, because I worked in the game the first year and I'm subjective. For me is one of the best titles of the year. Because first of all is a long game(I really missed that), the artistic part of the game is really good(one of the best in europe), some kind of gothic european style mix with a precious japanese feeling, and it's really hard to complete. GOW was so easy to finish it, and short, and all the times repeating the same environments.
But I don't want to compare them, because in fact are different, GOW is more action than anything else, Castlevania has a better balance between action and puzzles. Both are good games, but both fail in some aspects(as all the games)
I really recommend this title and you should buy it and enjoy it.
